Senior Accountant – Auditor (Edina)
Smith, Schafer and Associates, Ltd., a top 20 Minnesota CPA & consulting firm, is seeking a senior accountant with audit experience to join our Edina MN audit team.
Requirements:
- BA/BS in Accounting or related field
- CPA or CPA candidate
- 4-8 years current audit experience with a public accounting firm
- Strong technical, analytical and organizational skills
- Proficient in Excel and Word
- Excellent verbal and written communication skills
- Experience with ProSystems software and QuickBooks is a plus
Abilities:
- Plan and schedule engagements
- Perform audit, review and compilation procedures including fieldwork as necessary
- Prepare audit reports
- Develop effective working relationships with clients and maintain client communication
- Work in team environment with principals, manager and staff
- Understand and effectively use current accounting and audit software application in completion of engagements with ability to train staff and troubleshoot software as needed
- Research technical accounting issues
