QuickBooks Online Pricing Increase: What Minnesota Businesses Need to Know in 2025

Intuit has announced an upcoming price increase for QuickBooks Online (QBO), which will take effect on the July 2025 billing cycle. This change will affect all QBO subscription tiers.

  • Who is affected: Clients currently subscribed to QBO or considering a new subscription.
  • What’s changing: Monthly subscription fees for QBO plans will increase as follows:
    • QuickBooks Simple Start – $38 (currently $35)
    • QuickBooks Essentials – $75 (currently $65)
    • QuickBooks Plus – $115 (currently $99)
    • QuickBooks Advanced – $275 (currently $235)
    • Payroll Core – $50 + 6.50 per employee (currently $50 + $5.10)
    • Payroll Premium – $88 + $10 per employee (currently $85 + $7.65)
    • Payroll Elite – $134 + $12 per employee (currently $130 + $9.35)
