Since the start of the pandemic, our team has been working remotely, never missing a beat while fulfilling our responsibility of providing high-level services our clients have come to expect.

However, similar to how you may be feeling, working from home is not always easy to manage, often leaving many of us fatigued and frustrated at times. It is safe to say the pandemic has turned our lives upside down, and for many of us, it also blurred the line between home and work.

Recognizing this, we sense our team members need some time to disconnect completely, allowing for an opportunity to reset and recharge. In response, we are closing our offices on Friday, May 28 through Memorial Day May 31, and requiring staff to take the weekend off. We are encouraging them to shut down technology so they can fully disconnect for a four-day weekend.

What this means for our clients is they will not receive the usual immediate email response from their dedicated team members during this time. Our system will hold all emails from 3:00 am on Friday until 7:00 am on Tuesday. But know, the Smith Schafer team members will be right back at it on Tuesday morning, refreshed and recharged.

Of course, we are always committed to providing exceptional client service, so we encourage clients to call their Smith Schafer engagement principal in case of an emergency, and they will respond promptly.
